ORA-10640 commonly occurs when performing an operation such as dropping a tablespace while migration of the SYSTEM tablespace is in progress. This error can also occur when attempting to upgrade databases from Oracle 10g (or earlier) to 11g (or higher).
正常处理方法及步骤
To resolve the ORA-10640 error, wait for the system migration to complete and then retry the operation. To speed-up the migration process for 10g or earlier to 11g or higher upgrade, you can use the “dbms_space_admin.migrate_system_tbs” command.
